HD: YouTube vs. Vimeo

Stu mentioned via Twitter that Vimeo does a really crappy conversion to only 24p and YouTube is far superior. That said, I decided to try it. Here’s the same vid; same file; same everything: one on Vimeo, the other on YouTube. It’s about 7 minutes long. You tell me what you think looks better.

Caveat: You don’t have NEARLY the security features of Vimeo. YouTube is sort of “post at your own risk.” I also don’t like the community of YouTube at all and much prefer the professional and respectful community of Vimeo. Regardless….

The New (WP Version) Blog

Well, this is my first offiicial post on the new blog. I like it. I like Wordpress A LOT too. Easy to use, easy to config and looks really clean (well, the theme I picked anyway). I’m quite happy with myself. If not for just de-Googling myself, but helpingĀ  de-centralize the internet.

Things are just easier to find on this blog as well so a quick tour is in order:

- The little bars on the right are to help you navigate, connect with me and see what I’m up to.

- Down below, you’ll find recent comments, a tag cloud (for additional naviation) and some links I think are highly useful.

That was quick tour.

I do have some new HDV workflow updates so I’ll get that posted here post-haste.
