I’m thrilled about this. After carefully navigating the political and somewhat bureaucratic waters of non-profit goodness we are able to release this and others live. There are more short biographies to come and we are very, very excited about them! You can watch the embed below, subscribed to Red Futon Film’s Posterous and find us on Twitter, Facebook ,and YouTube. I hope you enjoy it. We are working primarily with a local Montana church but also loosely with a large NGO out of Atlanta.
For the techs of the crowd, this was the workflow:
Filmed on Sony Z7U – 1080/24p HDV
Edited in Avid MC4 (DNxHD transcode)
Onlined via Premiere to transcoded Cineform masters
FX’d in After Effects
Colored in After Effects with First Light, Color Finesse, and Colorista
The other day, Jason (@beatlejase) and I were talking about his stash of 60’s/70’s era lenses he had laying around. In a photo I think he has the same old Pentax I do. So I went home, dug out my K-Mount to EOS lens adapter and through this lens on my T2i:
Konica 40mm f/1.8 70’s vintage I’d guess . I think it really needs a 2x extender to be functional in the real world. This was graded in First Light.
